Read-Along
26 December 2009
Now that the Holidays are coming to a close, the semesters have ended, and the pajamas are a permanent uniform, I introduce the first read-along.
I will be reading Karleen Koen’s Through a Glass Darkly, and oh…how I am looking forward to something that I do not have to read because a syllabus tells me to!
I hope that everyone’s holidays have been filled with laughter and warmth. Now go grab a copy of Through a Glass Darkly and dig in with me this week!
Twitterpated
27 October 2009
Remember Bambi and his lesson in young love?
We all say at one point that it’s not going to happen to us…and eventually even the strongest succumb to the 140 character lure of Twitter.
I am not yet at the stage in which all I can think about is Twitter and I can’t live without it, but the relationship is young. Who knows what will happen….
All this is to say that The Read Queen is now on Twitter!
Follow me, I’ll follow you…(and my my my, that sounds like it can be categorized in the file of Stalker; Creepy.)
The Audience Question
29 June 2009
It is strange, writing something for an audience that is everyone, and yet no one.
I have just finished two books. I will be posting retroactive reflections on these two books because it would be such a shame not to include them, simply because their covers were closed a day or two before the creation of the blog. They are still fresh in my memory, and they are a part of my literary journey. Musings on both will be posted forthwith.
The future structure of the blog, as it stands now, is intended to explore responses to texts as I am reading them. I am currently thinking that a blog posting for every three chapters would provide sufficient enough material, and yet not so much that I am inhibited by the quantity….of course, this is just a thought. Things change, and I really just want to see where this goes. So to all you readers out there, if there are any, I extend my greetings.
And on with the journey….
